Let’s Welcome the Upcoming Maruti WagonR EV

Maruti has been preparing to launch its EV line-up with the WagonR for a long time. However, the market was in doubt that the WagonR EV may not be the Upcoming Maruti Suzuki Car after all. However, it seems highly unlikely for the company to scrap its initial plan of introducing the WagonR EV. Truth be told, the brand mentioned before, that it will work on EVs only when the infrastructure is ready for such vehicles. And now the time is ready for the brand to launch its brand-new model. Now we’ll discuss what we can expect from the new Rs.5 Lakh electric car from Maruti.

There are a lot of new features that Maruti is introducing in the vehicle that will make it the forerunner in the industry. The New Maruti Suzuki Car may just be something else entirely, given its impeccable charging time, range, and other features.

Charging Time
This is a crucial factor when it comes to electric vehicles. The WagonR EV may need around 6 hours of charging time which is much less compared to its present competitors. The standard electric cars take much more than 6 hours to charge on AC. Quite naturally, this one move gives the brand an upper hand over its competition. What’s more, is that the company may bring a new option for fast-charging as well. The biggest competition of the vehicle, the Nexon EV takes around an hour to charge through the Tata Power Fast Charging stations. Now we’ll have to see whether Maruti can top that.

Range
On a full charge, the WagonR EV has a range within the 250km bracket while the Nexon EV sets the standard at a minimum of 312km and it can reach up to 430km which is the range of the Mercedes-Benz EqC.

Features
The EV will come with regenerative braking as standard in order to gain some extra range numbers to not fall short behind its competition. Also, some other features like Connected Car Technology and Wireless Charging can be presumed to be present in the upcoming vehicle from Maruti. This will definitely upgrade the standards of EVs in the market.

Price
EVs are not so popular yet, mostly because they are expensive. But the best part about the Maruti has always been that it offers affordable and durable vehicles, and it makes no exception to that with its brand new electric WagonR. The Indian carmaker, as always, promises to deliver the same quality at an affordable range for the Indian customers. At just Rs.5 Lakh, the Maruti Suzuki Car Price in India promises to not disappoint the consumers, making it the cheapest EV in the market.

Styling
The styling of the vehicle is not going to be much different though. Except for some body-graphics, the exterior is going to remain the same. Even on the interior front, there’s not going to be many changes, except maybe some extra space in the center console for placement of the gear-knob.

In the end, all can be said is that when Maruti finally decides to end the anticipation and launch the WagonR EV, it will change the segment standards entirely with this Rs.5 Lakh electric car. As always, Maruti is going to remain a leader and trendsetter in the vehicle industry.
